Father
Francis Suttmiller grew up in the hills of southern Indiana.
He
never lost his love for the woods. Whenever possible he would
be
hunting or fishing around Blue Cloud Abbey. Because of his
country ways, he had a unique and disarming ability to communicate with
the common people.
Artist Note: Fr. Francis had a time becoming a priest. Studying was difficult and the Catholic hierarchy was against him, but insite of them he became very good priest. |
